Sim, isso aconteceu de verdade com um aposentado Nova-Iorquino. Depois de muitos anos vivendo em Nova Iorque, ele decidiu comprar uma fazenda e se mudar com a esposa para o local, então escolheu comprar a tal fazenda abandonada nas proximidades de Lisboa, em Portugal, e lá descobriu esse gigantesco acervo de carros, que em sua grande maioria estão intactos, apenas empoeirados.

Existem muitas histórias para a história do galpão e da propriedade, as duas mais aceitáveis…

Uma das histórias é a de que a fazenda pertencia a um negociante de carros dos anos 70 e 80, que decidiu guardar os melhores carros para ele, tudo isso em um celeiro na sua fazenda, após o local ficar cheio, ele trancou com cadeados e solda. Após muitos anos a fazenda foi a leilão, e ninguém sabia do conteúdo intocado do galpão.

Outra história é que a fazenda era uma de muitas propriedade de um casal rico, que era admirador e colecionador de carros. Após diversas dívidas e com medo da justiça pegar os seus veículos, eles construíram o galpão e entre a década de 70 e 80 encheram o local com os carros de sua coleção. Após a morte dos dois no fim dos anos 80, e por não terem herdeiros, o galpão e os veículos caíram no esquecimento até que a propriedade foi a leilão.

Muito se especulou sobre o verdadeiro motivo dos veículos estarem lá, e quase nada será divulgado, já que ninguém sabe a localização correta do local, e o fotografo que fez as fotos tem um acordo com o dono do local para não divulgar nada, o pouco que se sabe, é que o comprador é um aposentado Americano.
